The planetary nebula at the lower left in this image is VBRC 2, the second entry in the VBRC catalogue of seven southern planetaries (see description of our VBRC 1 image for more info on this catalogue). Just 37 arcminutes away, at upper right, is planetary nebula NGC 2899, which somewhat resembles an owl face. Both of these nebulae are quite bright, with VBRC 2 being arguably the most photogenic of the seven VBRC nebulae. VBRC 2 is located, like VBRC 1, in the constellation Vela.
