Passing through the constellation Coma Berenices on the morning of 20 Feb 2017, comet 45P (Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova) passed in front of two distant NGC galaxies. To the upper right of the comet is NGC 4414, lying 60 million light years distant. To the lower left is edge-on galaxy NGC 4359 at the same distance. Comet 45P was shining at about magnitude 13.
