This is a bicolor narrowband image of (almost) the entire Veil Nebula in Cygnus, the remnant of a supernova in our galaxy that exploded about 5,000 years ago. This image was created using various individual pieces captured in high resolution (see later in this gallery) combined with two Ha/O-III panels captured with a 240mm refractor. The image spans an area of sky equal to 3 x 2.2 degrees.
