This unusual object, number 152 in the van den Bergh catalogue of reflection nebulae, consists of a bright blue reflection nebula with a faint dark brown emission nebula trailing behind it. One is tempted to call this The Slug Nebula, and it seems somewhat fitting that this odd creature is well placed for viewing on Halloween.
