NGC 1555 is the small, bright reflection nebula in the center of the image to the right of a bright yellow star (which is T Tauri). It is a variable nebula for two reasons: (1) T Tauri, which illuminates it, is a variable star, and (2) in addition to changing in brightness along with T Tauri, the nebula also changes shape due to small dark clouds surrounding the star which move around and alter which parts of the nebula receive light. This is an LRGB image with 200:40:40:40 minutes of L:R:G:B exposure.
