This image of Jupiter was taken on June 16, 2018 using the one-meter f/8 RC telescope at the Chilescope observatory, about a mile up in the Andes Mountains of Chile. Here, Jupiter's Great Red Spot is nicely positioned, and one of Jupiter's moons, Io, lies close to the planet at the right, casting its shadow near the edge of the Jupiter.

A 2x barlow was used with a mono ZWO planetary camera to capture high-frame-rate video at 16,000 mm focal length. Videos with R, G, and B filters were stacked separately with AutoStakkert then derotated and combined using WinJUPOS.
