Here's a nice juxtaposition of an emission nebula and a planetary nebula. On the right is the northeast edge of the large emission nebula NGC 7822 in Cepheus (north is to the left in this image). The little ball in the lower left is planetary nebula Abell 1 (= PK 119.4+06.5). At magnitude 18.3, Abell 1 is one of the dimmest objects in the Abell planetary catalogue.
